The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning for its New York, NY location. DUTIES: Plan, analyze, implement, integrate and measure business development projects for line of business and research new financial products or analytics to determine their usefulness. Provide solutions/recommendations for complex business initiatives for line of business where analysis of situations requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Partner with business line managers to design short, medium and long-term operational improvements. Develop and ensure the execution of the operational/business strategy to improve processes, productivity and efficiency, and to reduce costs for business area and prepare requirements documentation for use by software developer. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas across disciplines to achieve project objectives and collaborate with product development teams to research, model, validate, or implement quantitative structured solutions for new or expanded markets. Perform strategic planning process. Analyze the operational/business strategy and related activities for line of business. Define analytical frameworks for visioning and assessing strategic options and interpret results of financial analysis procedures. Produce written summary reports of financial research results. Remain aware of contemporary concepts in business strategy and management. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Seven (7) years of experience must include: Utilizing experience in operational processes in financial markets to. develop and enhance applicable processes and workflows for digital assets; Defining and developing scope of new product offerings for strategic enterprise initiatives: prioritizing business requirements, documenting functional specifications, and defining operational architecture; Creating and developing platform roadmaps based on client requirements, feedback, ROI, Total Cost, and applicable risk categories; and Analyzing and benchmarking data inputs and results as well as performing analysis to measure long term market trends for product initiatives prioritization. In the alternative, employer will accept Master's degree and five (5) years of experience in the above-listed skills. Employer will accept pre- or post-Master's degree experience. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $164,832.00 to $221,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. |
