Diesel Technicians-Diesel Mechanics

Job Overview:



  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Develop and improve maintenance skills
  • Perform and complete inspections, recalls
  • Perform diagnostics and complete truck/engine repairs



Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Perform, complete, and retain training opportunities
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on medium/heavy duty trucks
  • Successfully relay findings of diagnostics or repairs and translate to digital notes
  • Locate info on trucks using company-supplied laptop and diagnostic equipment



Skills and Qualifications:



  • Medium/heavy duty truck technician
  • Prefer a Class B CDL
  • Basic computer skills
  • Power and hand tool experience
  • Possess the ability to work alone, and as part of a team
  • Ability to clean up after yourself and possess the desire to work in an organized environment
  • Possess communication skills to successfully relay findings of diagnostics or repairs, and translate to digital notes



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Must have 1-2 years' experience as a Diesel Technician working on CLASS 8 vehicles-Cummins and Detroit-Certified candidates are given top hiring priority
  • CDL preferred, but NOT required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
  • Preference given to those with previous engine overhaul experience
