U.S. Facilities, Inc., a consolidated facility management service company, is seeking an Incident Management Coordinator who is responsible for acting as the VDOT Commander at all major incidents - respond as needed to the scene to ensure all VDOT responsibilities are fulfilled. This is to be accomplished on a routine basis as outlined in the following responsibilities:
- Work closely with public safety and transportation agencies in the region Accompany the movement of Superloads as needed.
- Complete After- Action Reports on all major incidents, coordinating with all responding agencies using best practices.
- Establish a positive working relationship with key members of emergency agencies - Virginia State Police, Local Fire, EMS, Local Police, Towing Companies, etc..
- Work closely with VSP Reconstruction Team; will be required to respond to fatalities if called by VSP requesting equipment carried by the IMC.
- Establish a positive working relationship with the VDOT Control Room Supervisors, Safety Service Patrol (SSP) Department, and Bridge Tunnel Managers.
- Act as a member in statewide, regional and area emergency response groups.
- Attend regional law enforcement, fire agency, two associations, and planning committee meetings, ensuring VDOT is represented.
- Be prepared to serve in a position within the Incident Command System
- This position will require long hours on incident scenes, standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Heavy telephone and computer use.
- Any other duties assigned by a supervisor and/or USF Senior Project Manager.
Qualifications: Experience/Skill Sets:
- Should have a Public Safety background (Fire or Law Enforcement) and coordination relating to highway incidents.
- Should have SHRP-2 Training and get SHRP-2 Train-the-Trainer within 1 year.
- Should have FEMA ICS-100, -200, -700 & -800 Training and ICS-300 & -400 within one year.
- Hazmat Training - Awareness (preferred 40 Hazmat Training).

- This position is designated as essential and, as such, all duties associated with this job are required during emergency situations which may include, but are not limited to, inclement weather, disaster response, and emergency operations.

Pre-employment Requirements:
- A fingerprint based Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) will be conducted prior to employment.
- Drug Screening will be conducted prior to employment.
- 18 years of age or older
- Virginia State Driver's License in good standing

VDOT/Project Management will determine when essential positions are required. Valid driver's license is required. DMV records check is required. Pre-employment drug screen is required.
