Qualifications Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Expertise in breast and pelvic ultrasounds is essential as these are key to providing the exceptional care our patients rely on. Experience in DVT detection and abdominal ultrasounds is a plus and would further diversify ultrasound offerings at Akira in the future. The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited ultrasound technology program, with a strong foundation in diagnostic imaging and a minimum of three years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist. Registered ultrasound technologist (ARDMS) certification is required, and current CPR certification is essential to ensure patient safety and readiness for emergencies. The physical demands of this job typically require a full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination for the operation and repair of all department equipment. The position requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds and lifting and pushing patients in wheelchairs or stretchers weighing up to 300 pounds and positioning them appropriately for equipment operation. The role also requires the ability to reach above shoulder height and sit and stand for extended periods. Corrected vision and hearing within normal range are required.
