Job Summary

As an Assistant Professor of Accounting, your responsibilities will include teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, as applicable; developing courses and/or curricula; conducting research and scholarship; participating in College and University committees, as well as community and professional initiatives; and other assigned duties. The teaching load for this position is three courses per semester, with the potential for summer teaching assignments. You will also be expected to engage in scholarly research that meets the criteria for Scholarly Academic classification under the LCOB faculty guidelines and contribute to the university, college, department, professional organizations, and related community services. We seek candidates who are interested in collaborating both within and outside the University to enhance instruction and improve student learning outcomes. The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to continued scholarship and service to the school and university.

Required Qualifications

  • Ph.D. / DBA in Accounting or related field from an AACSB accredited business school or equivalent accreditation.
  • ABD will be considered. If the successful candidate's degree is not conferred by August 7, 2025, the appointment will be made at a Lecturer level on a fixed contract.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; CPA or similar licensure.
  • Experience integrating accounting data analytics, AI, and data visualization into accounting curriculum.

Appointment will be based on a 9-month continuous multi-year contract available August 2025.
