Set Schedule WHAT ARE THE WORK WEEK DAYS and HOURS? Food Lion Grocery Stores:
o Permanent part time position with training provided o Small reset team led by a team lead that supports Food Lion (one store per day) o The job involves using planograms to work in new items and install new fixtures in grocery, health and beauty, dairy and frozen sections * Breaking down gondolas-rebuilding gondolas. o You are required to have your own transportation to get to the store daily o Team members must be able to stand for extended periods of time, bend, stoop and be able to lift up to 40 pounds ADDITIONAL PERKS Paid on the Job Training! As a Merchandiser, you will help ensure customer satisfaction by: * Safely and efficiently stock new or changing products by following the Retailer store schematic * Clean, straighten or assemble shelves/racks and display cases following measurement guidelines * Check code dates, rotate products that may be old or slow moving and remove unsaleable items * Re-tag shelves in the store WHAT ARE THE JOB REQUIREMENTS? * Reliable transportation * Valid Photo ID required Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate inventory control and stock management - Handle cash transactions and maintain proper cash handling procedures - Utilize retail math skills to calculate prices, discounts, and change accurately - Keep the store clean and organized, including restocking shelves and arranging displays - Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases - Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales transactions - Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines - Perform administrative duties as assigned Qualifications: - Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management - Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic retail math calculations - Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment - Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor - Familiarity with operating a POS system is a plus - Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth within our organization.
