JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Pennsylvania State University, York Campus, is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach courses supporting Penn State York's Information Technology and Cyber degrees. Subject matter includes courses in programming (CMPSC 101, CMPSC 201, CMPSC 221), IT project management (IST 302), Systems Analysis and Design (IST 260W), Discrete Math (IST 230) to support the Information Technology degree program. Opportunities to teach courses in Cybersecurity are also available.

Requirements and Qualifications Candidates should meet the following qualifications:
  • A minimum of a master`s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred.
  • Employment with the University for this job will require successful completion of the Pennsylvania (PA) Publicly Available Clearances: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and the FBI Criminal History Background Check.

A teaching demonstration will be required as part of the on-campus interview. Start date for the position is August 16, 2024.
