DISTRICT MANAGER II

SUMMARY

The Manager II-District is responsible for the daily operations of the warehouse including maintaining adequate levels of inventory, maintenance of the warehouse location, ensuring high levels of customer service, and management of warehouse personnel in accordance with Company policy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Educate client base on all Owen Products. Emphasis will be on new Owen/Core Lab technology inclusive of Technical Services Products.
  • Manages warehouse personnel to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained and warehouse is kept in neat, orderly condition at all times.
  • Visits all area clients on a minimum biweekly basis.
  • Establishes and maintains a customer database.
  • Responsible for managing the district's controllable costs.
  • Ensures adequate inventory is in place to meet customer requirements.
  • Completes min/max reports weekly and coordinates with Fort Worth Shipping.
  • Ensures all corporate and government regulations are met and adhered to.
  • Ensure a "0" accident plan is in effect for the assigned area of operations.
  • Ensures clients have access to Owen/Core Lab products/services on a 24 hour a day, 365 day a year basis.
  • Coordinates on-call schedules with other location personnel to ensure phone coverage at all times.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required. Five plus years of experience in a related field required; Minimum two years prior manager/supervisory experience; knowledge of warehouse procedures preferred. Knowledge of MS Office 2007, Excel and Word required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze and interpret instructional and technical materials relating to technical procedures, quality management, safety and applicable government regulations. Ability to write applicable reports and correspondence clearly. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, customers and other staff as required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a good driving record required.

SUPERVISORY SKILLS

Ability to (1) supervise and direct other employees so that the efficiency of the location's operations and equipment remains in good working condition; (2) maintain applicable safety programs and good housekeeping practices; (3) understand and satisfy all quality requirements; and (4) show the potential to demonstrate leadership skills and develop employees.
