Job Description


Essential Functions:

* Able to interpret production documentation including order forms, customer's special instructions, look-up tables, training sheets and other relevant process information

* Able to fashion mold surfaces and contours by hand, using modeling clay

* Able to perform assigned machine operating tasks and hand assembly tasks at expected production volume

* Able to use small to medium machinery in the department, such as band saws, table saws, punch press and benders

* Able to visualize reverse image contours and adjust the mold properly to produce the desired cushion-shape results

* Visually inspects material during the assembly process to prevent defects and scrap

* Responsible for quality of assembled product prior to and including their workstation

* Provides written suggestions for continuous improvement

* Assists with training of others

* Strict compliance to FDA and ISO control standards and record keeping

* Adheres to all safety policies

* Performs predictive/preventative maintenance as necessary

* Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in accordance with 5 S principles

* Complete all required training applicable to assigned position

* Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

Qualifications:

* High School graduate or equivalent

* Basic math skills

* Ability to use machinery such as band saws, table saws, punch presses and benders

* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

* Ability to stand for 8-10 hours

* Bending, twisting and/or squatting may be required

* Demonstrated flexibility in attitude and willingness to work in all areas as needed

* Demonstrated ability to understand and follow work instructions

* Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

* Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision

* Ability to work overtime with little or no notice

* Ability to be cross-trained

* Effective verbal and written communication skills

* Knowledge of quality standards to apply visual inspection

* Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills

* Must have thorough understanding of quality systems and their relationship to job performance including ISO Overview, corrective/preventative actions and work instructions

* Must have physical ability and manual dexterity necessary to perform the duties pertaining to job
