Responsibilities

  • Perform the duties of a Scrubber: Instrument management, sterile technique, pre-post patient setup.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation safety and keep the staff and patients safe as possible.
  • Understand medication effects and report any adverse reactions.
  • Document patient data during procedures appropriately utilizing computerized documentation system.
  • Have knowledge of normal vs abnormal pressure measurements, ECG waveforms.
  • Set up and manage complex equipment from circulator, scrub and monitor roles.
  • Provide competent care for the patient in all phases of pre-procedure/post recovery.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Graduate of accredited School of Radiology

  • Current License as RT in the State of Texas

  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification

  • Advance Cardiac Life Support Certification

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Previous cath lab and patient care experience
  • Patient care.
