Are you a passionate and hands-on Consumer Insights Researcher ready to make a significant impact on how millions experience everyday products? In this pivotal role, you won't just conduct research; you'll own the entire process, from study design to delivering actionable recommendations, directly influencing product development and market success. This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on beloved brands and establish cutting-edge research methodologies that will resonate across future product lines, starting with exciting projects like evaluating new product designs to uncover consumer preferences and perceptions of premium quality and luxury.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with packaging, design, and marketing stakeholders to define critical research questions and decision criteria.
  • Design quantitative consumer studies to compare packaging alternatives and assess preference, perceived quality, premium positioning, and brand fit.
  • Develop comprehensive questionnaires, screening criteria, sampling plans, and innovative approaches for presenting design concepts fairly and effectively.
  • Coordinate consumer recruitment and manage research fieldwork through available survey platforms and participant-panel providers.
  • Oversee study execution, manage timelines, and implement robust response-quality checks to ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze findings, meticulously assess meaningful differences between designs, and clearly explain any limitations.
  • Present clear, data-backed recommendations that empower stakeholders to confidently select or refine packaging concepts.
  • Develop reusable research templates and processes to support future studies efficiently, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring

  • Demonstrated experience independently leading quantitative consumer research projects from initial brief through final recommendations.
  • Relevant consumer packaged goods (CPG) research experience, including packaging evaluation, design testing, or closely related product-concept research.
  • Strong expertise in questionnaire design, sampling methodologies, and statistical analysis skills.
  • Proven experience recruiting target consumers or managing consumer-panel providers.
  • Ability to distinguish and measure personal preference, perceived premium quality, and purchase intent as separate research measures.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex findings into practical, actionable decisions for packaging, design, and marketing teams.
  • Comfort working independently and effectively collaborating with stakeholders across various functions.

Stand Out With

  • Experience in oral care, personal care, beauty, skincare, or other premium consumer-product categories.
  • Experience with studies exploring packaging aesthetics, luxury perceptions, and brand positioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research across multiple countries or diverse consumer segments.
  • Proven ability to build repeatable research processes and frameworks within a business environment.
  • Experience with qualitative follow-up research to provide deeper insights into quantitative findings.
  • Background in physical-product or sensory research, particularly if the scope expands beyond visual evaluation.
