You will be empowered to independently create and check designs, solve technical challenges, and ensure compliance with the highest industry standards, directly impacting project success and stakeholder satisfaction.

What You'll Do

• Provide and meticulously check drawings and Bills of Material (BOM) to meet project specifications.
• Prepare comprehensive bulk Material Take Offs (MTOs) and detailed BOMs.
• Ensure all designs and drawings strictly adhere to engineering and quality assurance/quality control standards.
• Develop a comprehensive range of mechanical, piping, and structural deliverable drawings and documents, including:
  
  
  
  • Piping layout/general arrangements, isometrics, schedules, tie-point/interface drawings, and insulation details.
  • Structural general arrangement drawings, weld details/notes, connection details, foundation support details.
  • Equipment mounting/support details, pipe support details.
  • Weight/Center of Gravity (COG) reports, manual valve lists.
  • HVAC ducting, instrumentation, flow diagrams, Process and Instrument Diagrams.
  • Pump alignment drawings, handrails/ladders, walkways, and stairs as per OSHA, platform, and grating detailed drawings.
  
  
  
  
• Support service personnel by simulating problems in drawings to aid in swift problem resolution.
• Independently manage simple Engineering Work Requests, ensuring full compliance with work instructions and engineering standards.
• Oversee the outsourcing of engineering design work to third-party engineering/design firms, maintaining quality and adherence to timelines.
• Review vendor data and drawings to ensure strict compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.
• Generate critical report data from models and assist in providing necessary design information to project teams and stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing "Lessons Learned" feedback and actively participating in updating tools and procedures.

What You'll Bring

• Educational Background: Technical Certification in a design discipline or a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Experience:
  
  
  
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical, piping, and structural scopes of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear drawings and sketches that effectively illustrate complex design ideas.
  • A solid understanding of the purpose and function of electrical systems for facilities.
  • General knowledge of key industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to: AHRI, ANSI, AWS, IBC, MFMA, MSS, OSHA, NFPA.
  • Extensive experience working with computer-aided design (CAD) and building information modeling (BIM) software.
