Aquent is seeking a visionary Workfront Planning Specialist to partner with a renowned national retail brand, a leader in delivering exceptional customer experiences. This innovative company is committed to operational excellence and is looking for a highly skilled individual to make an immediate, significant impact on its project management capabilities. Join a team that thrives on precision and strategic planning, where you will directly shape the execution and tracking of large-scale seasonal campaigns, contributing to the brand's continued success and market leadership.

Are you a Workfront wizard ready to transform project planning and execution for a major national brand? This is an exhilarating opportunity to step in as a hands-on expert, taking ownership of a critical initiative to optimize a powerful platform. You won't just be advising; you'll be building, connecting, and empowering a team to achieve unparalleled clarity and efficiency. Your expertise will directly enable leadership to gain instant, comprehensive insights into complex seasonal campaigns, ensuring everything from digital content launches to product packaging kickoffs stays on track. If you thrive on solving technical challenges and enjoy seeing the tangible results of your expertise, this role offers the perfect blend of challenge and impact.

What You'll Do

  • Architect and implement a robust planning hierarchy within Workfront, seamlessly connecting individual projects to overarching programs, strategic goals, and major seasonal and promotional campaigns.
  • Integrate and precisely map over 400 active projects into the newly established structure, ensuring accurate data rollup and enhanced visibility across the organization.
  • Design intuitive rollup views and dynamic dashboards that furnish leadership with clear, actionable insights into campaign status, highlighting projects that are on time, at risk, or delayed.
  • Facilitate collaborative working sessions with cross-functional teams to establish consistent naming conventions, taxonomy, and record types for all assets, deliverables, and campaigns.
  • Execute comprehensive backend configuration within the platform, including the setup of custom forms, record types, connected fields, and the underlying logic required to unify the entire system.
  • Develop the strategic planning framework for the upcoming year (2027), with forward-thinking considerations for future cycles (2028), specifically accounting for long-lead workstreams such as packaging that extend beyond 53 weeks.
  • Provide thorough, hands-on training to the team, clearly explaining the strategic rationale behind the system setup to ensure they can confidently maintain and replicate the system annually.
  • Proactively identify opportunities where the team can further leverage the platform's capabilities and recommend immediate, high-impact improvements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

What You Bring

  • Direct experience with Workfront Planning or comparable large-scale project mapping and portfolio rollup initiatives.
  • A proven track record of successfully building interconnected project structures across multiple teams and effectively managing hundreds of projects simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in workflow and process mapping, with the ability to optimize complex operational flows.
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex technical setups and processes into clear, understandable language for non-technical users.
  • Comfort and capability in working quickly and independently within a highly motivated and fast-paced team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Adobe Workfront certification (Core Developer, Program Architect, Fusion, or Planning).
  • A background in retail, CPG, or marketing operations, particularly with experience managing seasonal or promotional calendars.
  • Demonstrated experience presenting to leadership and effectively gathering cross-team feedback to drive consensus and improvement.
