We are seeking an experienced Central Supply & Processing Manager to lead our sterile processing and supply operations. This position is responsible for overseeing the processing, sterilization, inventory management, and distribution of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment used in human tissue processing. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge, a commitment to quality and compliance, and the ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the activities of employees engaged in furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment for processing of human tissue.
- Manages activities of workers engaged in sterilizing, assembling, and packing of processing supplies.
- Provides management oversight for the preparation of solutions, arrangement of stock, requisitioning, issuing, controlling, and charging of supplies and equipment.
- Instructs personnel on the use of cleaning, sterilizing and preparing equipment, setting up standardized processing trays, and maintenance of equipment in the central supply area.
- Establishes standards of work performance and methods of operation for department. Monitors work activities to ensure that employees are following standard operating procedures.
- Ensures that aseptic techniques are employed by employees in preparing and handling sterile items.
- Manages productivity with established guidelines.
- Inspects daily inventory, maintains records of supply usage, and complies periodic reports.
- Works hand in hand with manufacturing in a positive and productive manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
- 5 years of previous supervisory experience in an Operating Room (OR), Central Sterile Supply or Supply Chain preferred.
- Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) required or obtained within one year of position hire date.
- Maintaining annual CEU's for CRCST certification.
- Must be able to meet the required physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred
- Previous Supply Chain, Central Supply, Hospital OR and/or Continuous Improvement experience.
- Coaching and mentoring skills to help others develop to their fullest potential.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead teams, set goals, solve problems and resolve conflicts.
- Demonstrated technical computer skills and ability to utilize all components of Microsoft Office.
