Position Summary:

The Facilities Technician will be an integral part of the facilities team. Maintaining, troubleshooting, installing, and improving production equipment are a few of the responsibilities of the technician. This position will also support IQ activities, and modulations designed to improve quality, productivity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• New equipment installations, debugging and IQ for release to production.
• Installation and startup of various equipment.
• Troubleshooting all facility equipment.
• Assist Senior Facilities Manager on planning projects and implementation.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and written instructions as necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance shop equipment.
• Ability to use a cutting torch and welding.
• Perform Millwright discipline.
• Knowledge of OSHA 10 program.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems and components.
• Perform all preventative maintenance and housekeeping as needed.
• Direct contact with all outside contractors and schedule PM's and repairs.

Must Have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Enhanced ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Basic understanding of keyboard and other computer components.

Good to have:

• Familiarity and basic understanding of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, PowerPoint).
