Introduction

The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is seeking professional, dedicated applicants for part-time Crossing Guard positions.


Job Summary

Crossing Guards are tasked with:

  • Providing protective services to children at duty post. Directs and escorts children in accordance with the Crossing Guard Standards of Procedure.
  • Maintains and wears complete crossing guard uniform on duty; utilizes safety equipment in accordance with policies and procedures.

Hiring range is commensurate with experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; must be at least age 18; six (6) months of related work experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must pass annual physical exams.


Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Selection process includes review of the Applicant Screening Questionnaire and County application; a background investigation to include fingerprinting, criminal record, driving record, physical examination, and an in-person interview.
