Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 5:50am-2:00pm Monday-Friday We are currently seeking candidates for a sit-down forklift role located in Kansas City, Missouri. This company also offers a family-oriented work environment and the opportunity to participate in profit sharing once hired on permanently. If interested, please apply with an updated work history. Forklift Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Operation and care of forklift in a safe manner; must be qualified to properly operate the forklift - Locate stock before the start of the run - Unload and load trucks in a careful and responsible manner - Complete necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner - Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed - Maintain neat, orderly, and safe stacks of stock in storage areas - Adhere to daily production schedule; make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality, delivery, and service goals - Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping Forklift Operator Requirements: - High school diploma or GED required - Routinely lift up to 50 pounds and multi-task to keep up with tight production schedules - Sit for prolonged periods - Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred - Ability to read and comprehend written, oral, and graphic form of instructions - Prior work experience as a forklift operator and currently certified - Previous manual labor experience is a must - Ability to read a tape measure - Basic math skills are required - Strong attention to detail - Strong work ethics and excellent attendance will be the key to long-term success IND060 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
