Position Title: Quality Control Technician
Wage: $19.00-$21.25 per hour Shift: Night Hours: 5:30pm-5:30am (2-2-3) QPS Employment Group has a great Quality Control Technician position at a company in Mount Pleasant, IA. This is a night shift position with the opportunity for hire. Quality Control Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Inspect products throughout production to ensure quality standards are met. - Complete Quality Control (QC) audits during the shift, typically 3 to 4 audits per shift. - Perform Start of Job and Start of Shift Quality Validation Checklists. - Collect and maintain quality samples as required. - Provide break coverage for Machine Operators and help ensure machine coverage throughout the shift. - Generate labels and pallet tags in coordination with Scheduling, Purchasing, and Production leadership. - Assist with inventory counts and floor count activities. - Sign off on pallet tags and maintain accurate production documentation. - Update daily production logs and quality records. - Assist the Production Supervisor in identifying and resolving quality concerns. - Support the investigation and resolution of machine continuity and production issues. - Promote and uphold the company's core values. Quality Control Technician Requirements: - Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. - Strong commitment to accuracy and operational excellence. - Ability to follow established quality procedures and documentation requirements. - Ability to work independently and make sound decisions regarding product quality. - Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and production documentation. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Reliable attendance and punctuality. - Ability to identify quality issues and communicate findings effectively. - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a 12-hour shift. - Ability to perform visual inspections of products with a high degree of accuracy. - Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and move production samples, labels, and materials. - Ability to work in a manufacturing environment around production equipment. - Ability to perform repetitive quality checks and documentation tasks.
