Position Title: Forklift Operator
Wage: $20.00 - $22.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 2:00pm (Monday - Friday) Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! Forklift Operator Responsibilities: - Operate forklifts to safely load, unload, transport, and store materials throughout the warehouse - Perform order picking activities using RF scanners to accurately fulfill customer orders - Support shipping and receiving operations by processing incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently - Conduct routine equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns - Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures - Assist with inventory control and warehouse management system transactions - Ensure accurate handling, storage, and movement of materials - Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to improve workflow and operational efficiency - Perform heavy lifting and material movement using proper lifting techniques - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Requirements for Forklift Operator: - Previous warehouse experience required - Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment - Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory processes - Experience using RF scanners and order-picking systems - Previous shipping and receiving experience preferred - Ability to work in an extremely cold warehouse environment - Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills preferred - Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse safety practices - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication and teamwork skills - Ability to lift, carry, move, push, and pull materials as required - Dependable attendance and punctuality - Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
