Position Title: Quality Assurance Lab Technician
Wage: $19.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm (Monday - Friday) Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Quality Assurance Lab Technician at a company in Racine, WI. This is a potential to hire position. Apply today! Quality Assurance Lab Technician Responsibilities: - Maintain and update raw material supplier information - Test for titrateable acidity, moisture, pH, and Babcock fat testing on wet blended products multiple times throughout the day - Enter data and test results into the computer, and communicate results to the processing personnel. Provide packing approval to wet blending operators based on test results - Visually inspect finished samples. Portions will be logged, retained and shelved - Perform weekly audits of the warehouse and plant, noting and documenting any product safety or GMP violations, and advising the Quality Assurance Manager - Generate specialty COAs to comply with customer requests and EU Certification for overseas shipments - Receive raw materials, including entering and releasing the product in Adage after checking for requirements such as kosher status, EU status, COA status, etc. Collect and sample raw material(s), and/or send to an outside laboratory for additional sampling - Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in entering COA information on finished product, and release finished product in Adage. Cover the positions of Quality Assurance Manager in the event of absence Requirements for Quality Assurance Lab Technician: - High school diploma or equivalency - At least one year general lab experience - Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word - Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems - Ability to taste or smell foods or beverages - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely - Ability to work within company's policies of customer satisfaction and teamwork within a collaborative environment IND012 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
