Position Title: Customer Service Representative
Wage: $18.00 - $22.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm QPS Employment Group is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) on behalf of our client in Houston, TX (77040). This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for a customer-focused professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and providing outstanding service. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers and supports order management, shipping coordination, and sales order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service and phone skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience supporting customers in a fast-paced environment. Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with customers, sales teams, warehouse personnel, and transportation providers while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Customer Service Representative Responsibilities: - Answer inbound calls and emails from customers regarding products, orders, and services - Make outbound calls to follow up on customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide updates - Process orders, returns, and exchanges accurately and efficiently - Document customer interactions, inquiries, complaints, and resolutions within the Order Management System (OMS) - Coordinate with the sales team to ensure timely sales order fulfillment - Schedule transportation with carriers for LTL and FTL shipments - Work directly with customers to support on-time shipment requirements - Escalate complex customer issues to management or the appropriate department when necessary - Maintain a strong understanding of company products, services, and policies - Support warehouse and branch operations with inventory cycle counts as needed - Communicate and collaborate with other branches and corporate headquarters regarding operational matters - Provide a professional, customer-focused experience both over the phone and in person Requirements for Customer Service Representative: - High school diploma required - Associate degree in Business Management or related field preferred - Previous experience in customer service, order management, inside sales support, or a related role - Strong phone presence and customer communication skills - Ability to build rapport and maintain positive customer relationships - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously - Professional and positive attitude - Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and Gmail - Experience with OMS, ERP, CRM, or similar order management systems preferred - Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Please be prepared for our AI recruiter to ask these mandatory questions: - Are you comfortable handling a high volume of inbound and outbound customer calls? - Have you worked with order entry, order management systems, ERP systems, or CRM software?
