Join Chentronics as an Electrical Engineering Technician supporting the development, assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of industrial ignition and flame-safety products. In this hands-on role, you will build and test electronic assemblies, troubleshoot circuit boards, support product development activities, and help maintain a safe, organized, and calibrated engineering laboratory environment.

What You Will Do

  • Build, modify, solder, rework, and repair through-hole and surface-mount printed circuit assemblies (PCBs).
  • Assemble circuit-board stack-ups, wiring, connectors, cable harnesses, and electromechanical hardware.
  • Troubleshoot electronic assemblies, identify root causes, and support corrective actions and design improvements.
  • Prepare test setups, conduct engineering and electronics testing, monitor instrumentation, collect data, and document results.
  • Read and apply schematics, drawings, bills of materials, test specifications, manuals, and assembly instructions.
  • Maintain accurate technical records, calibrated equipment, and organized laboratory environments that support reliable testing and product development activities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technicians to provide practical input on manufacturability, testability, serviceability, and reliability.
  • Support prototype builds, circuit board troubleshooting, and product validation activities.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Engineering Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment, interpreting schematics, troubleshooting PCB assemblies, and performing through-hole and surface-mount soldering.
  • Experience preparing and conducting tests, recording data, and producing accurate technical documentation.
  • Experience documenting test results, troubleshooting activities, or technical work instructions in a professional environment.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of electronics industry experience.
  • Experience with mechanical or electronic CAD tools, line-voltage circuits, root-cause and corrective-action processes, equipment calibration, or quality-controlled documentation.
  • Experience in an electronics development, product-testing, prototype, or engineering laboratory environment.


For this role, we anticipate paying $28 - $35 per hour.
