The Owens Corning Global Information Services (GIS) Solution Architect - Supply Chain Planning leads the design and delivery of technology solutions that enable Owens Corning's global supply chain planning processes, including demand, supply, response, inventory optimization, order fulfillment, supply chain tower, and S&OP. As a strategic technology partner, this role advances supply chain capability, decision-making, resiliency, and operational performance by shaping scalable, integrated solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, IT standards, and supply chain strategy. This role provides architectural guidance, stewards SAP planning standards and best practices, and partners across our Global Information Systems (GIS) organization, business teams, and external resources to translate business needs into sustainable technology solutions, ensuring scalable, integrated solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, IT standards, and supply chain strategy. Reports to: GIS Supply Chain Planning Team Leader Span of Control: Individual contributor; indirect leadership of external partners/project resources, as needed

- Build relationships within the GIS organization, cross-functionally, and with key stakeholders; ensure effective contact to remain aligned with functional objectives.
- Develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders and process owners to thoroughly understand processes and business goals.
- Understand the strategic direction of the company's businesses and execute functional strategies to support and enhance business results; be knowledgeable of the project work that supports this direction and implications to the business.

Executing Strategy This position is a multi-faceted role leveraging solid SAP development experience along with consulting and project management skills to operate and fulfill expectations including, but not limited to:
- Leads technology roadmap development for supply chain planning.
- Leads associated technology assessments and technology standards development.
- Ensures all supply chain planning, production and inventory blueprint documents, configuration documents and functional spec documents are created in compliance with our architectural frameworks and architecture standards.
- Understand various planning cycles and propose improvement and automation to streamline and optimize the business process.
- Analyze and assess, planning tools and their integration with SAP S/4HANA and other organization owned ERP products.
- Assess technological feasibility of to-be planning architecture and provide solutions for business needs.
- Ensure the planning solution is flexible and scalable considering current and future needs of the organization.
- Provide training to end users on product, solution and business processes specifically on IBP planning solutions (SAP IBP, Kinaxis, O9 like planning software).
- Stay up to date with latest in SAP best practices in areas of supply chain.
- Share knowledge with stakeholders on new features and technologies including AI capabilities released by SAP and how they will benefit our business process.
- Participate in multiple (and sometimes parallel) implementations and continuous improvement projects in a solutions architect role, including activities such as:
- Definition of project scope, based on workshops with business representatives, and knowledge of our landscape and solutions.
- Participates in IBP blueprinting sessions with business and IT stakeholders to understand key requirements. Leads the blueprinting of topics that are highly integrated with other tracks.
- Ideates on solutions to complex requirements.
- Reviews and approves blueprints as outlined by the functional subject matter expert, of requirements and solutions.
- Assists track lead with systems build activities including configuration, master data, investigation of enhancement points, and integrations, and writing functional specifications, unit testing etc.
- Models complex requirements through proof of concepts.
- Collaborate with other product architects across other initiatives and implementations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience within Information Technology industry.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning products i.e., SAP IBP and SAP APO.
- Prior life-cycle implementation of SAP IBP or S/4; expertise in leading design and blueprint sessions, supply chain planning configuration, development, cutover activities, data migration, testing and hyper-care.
- Strong project management skills, tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning technologies and how they integrate with ERP systems is required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience with SAP S/4 HANA / SAP Cloud Applications.
- Knowledge about SAP BTP and its integration and use cases
- Advanced ATP, GATP, PPDS experience is preferred.
- Debugging and ABAP knowledge
- Understanding of new tech stack, CDS views, RAP dev framework and UI5
- Experience designing interfaces between SAP and external systems

- Business Process Knowledge: Strong understanding of planning processes in supply chain management, production and inventory management.
- Ability to build strong partnerships internally within IT, with business users, and 3rd party partners.

- Ability to communicate and translate business requirements and technical solutions cross-functionally.
- Previously led assessment of platforms as a part of a new technology evaluation and selection process.
- Previously led proof of concept project(s) to validate the applicability of a new technology to a business process, including accountability for the summary report-out of findings.
- Organized and executed IT process development /solution design review with external suppliers.
- Experience developing and introducing new ideas and approaches to solve opportunities.
- Ability to demonstrate curiosity - driven to understand how and why things operate, finds root causes through analysis and questioning.
- Experience proactively seeking out ways to leverage investments by integrating new requirements into existing solutions.
- Action-oriented and proactive with initiating and taking lead roles in challenging work without explicit direction.
- Ability to travel 10%, domestic and international
