TITLE: Senior Analyst, Commercial Operations EMPLOYER: AES Clean Energy Services LLC LOCATION: 1201 Fannin Street, Suite 500, Houston, Texas 77002 DUTIES: Lead Allegro modeling to ensure accurate ISO settlements and setup PPA/contract in Adapt2 and PCI & ETRM systems. Oversee the full trade lifecycle, from sourcing inputs to trade mapping and underlying position details. Supporting integration of realized data for new and existing AES Clean Energy assets into ETRM (Energy Trade and Risk Management) and Bid-to-Bill systems. Understand commercial business requirements and transform them into ETRM solutions utilizing advanced SQL, Python, PowerBI, Excel, and other data analysis tools. Support variable margin management framework, build key portfolio drivers and provide actionable insights for senior leadership and trade desks. Build and lead Variable Margin dashboard analytics to track power plant actual performance, P&L to improve portfolio optimization. Design tools and enhanced views, dashboards to deliver actionable asset specific insights for trading strategies. Build deep knowledge in daily Allegro valuation runs, fields and cube data to enhance VM tracking capabilities. Work closely with Digital, Operations, S2G and settlements to support VM GCP database. Suggest and enhance systems architecture. Analyze requirements for Physical & Financial Deals (Futures, Options, Swaps), PPAs, MTM, and P&L reporting and manage daily commercial operations and data flow across AES trading systems. Maintain long term data quality by designing and implementing automated data quality monitoring and flagging tools to identify and fix data issues, errors and discrepancies across various commercial systems and taking ownership of data quality issues. Validate realized volumes, prices, and fees in our ETRM testing/production environments and support all existing and future processes to meet control, compliance, and audit requirements. Develop and implement scalable solutions to transform data, ensuring seamless integration in formats compatible with ETRM systems. Improve processes for scalability and efficiency utilizing available tools and resources. Work closely with ETRM position reporting, settlements, and market ops teams to support modeling new & existing assets to settlement quality, as well as the external Bid-Bill vendors to identify and fix business and systems issues proactively. Work closely with Data Engineering and other Digital teams to support and maintain required updates to existing processes and propose/develop improvement opportunities. Maintain strong relationships and collaborate extensively with key internal stakeholders including trading desks, market operations, ETRM core team, audit, risk management, and settlements group. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor degree or foreign equivalent degree in Energy sciences, engineering, mathematics or related field and 3 years of data integration experience OR Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Energy sciences, engineering, mathematics or related field and 1 year of data integration experience.
