Accountancy Job Description
This position provides academic advising, student services, and program support for the School of Accountancy at the Trulaske College of Business. Working closely with the Director of the Paul and Lynn Ann Vogel Master of Accountancy and Integrated Program, the role supports students throughout the academic and professional lifecycle, from admission and course planning through graduation, internships, and full-time employment. The position advises approximately half of the School's junior, senior, and graduate-level students in the integrated program and supports the administration and continued development of the School's academic programs. Key responsibilities include: * Academic Advising and Student Support: Advise a portion of the School's junior, senior, and integrated graduate students on degree requirements, course selection, academic progress, and other program matters. Assist students with degree audits and help resolve academic and administrative issues. In addition, the role works closely with School leadership, faculty, staff, Business Career Services, the Graduate School, accounting firm recruiters, and other College and University offices to support students and ensure the effective administration of the School's academic programs. This position plays an important role in the success of the School of Accountancy's undergraduate and integrated graduate programs by providing specialized advising and program support, facilitating students' progression toward graduation, strengthening connections between students and employers, and supporting the development and delivery of academic programs and initiatives. Monday-Friday, 8am - 5pm and other hours as necessary based on position needs/activities Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Education and experience: Master's degree in accounting, business, higher education, student affairs, or a related field, with relevant experience in academic advising/student services or the accounting profession. Candidates with a combination of accounting/business education and academic advising experience are especially encouraged to apply. Professional Certification: Professional certification relevant to accounting, academic advising, or career development preferred. Examples include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or relevant advising/career-development credentials. Anticipated Hiring Range
