To realize this mission, the TLC collaborates with instructors, leadership, and various campus partners to champion visionary ideas and forward-thinking initiatives that transform and elevate the teaching enterprise. Position Summary The UCLA Teaching & Learning Center (TLC) is seeking an experienced communications leader to advance its mission of promoting inclusive excellence in teaching. This position plays a critical role in strengthening the TLC's visibility and broadening stakeholder engagement in support of innovative teaching and learning initiatives across UCLA. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning, the Director of Communications is responsible for leading and executing the TLC digital communications strategy, an integrated outreach, communications, and data tracking effort spanning print and digital platforms, including websites, newsletters, reports, marketing materials, and social media. The role also oversees the development and deployment of creative, accessible content that promotes the TLC's programs, resources, and services while ensuring alignment with UCLA branding and communications standards. The Director collaborates with TLC program directors and administrative teams to align messaging across units with the overall TLC digital strategy and raise awareness for and drive engagement of UCLA instructors in the TLC professional learning opportunities. Responsibilities also include overseeing a team that develops digital and printed content. The Director provides writing and copy-editing support as needed to ensure accurancy and consistency of content across the team, manages internal and external communications requests, and tracks the status of team communications projects. The Director oversees executive communications and organizational messaging on behalf of the Vice Provost, provides strategic counsel to TLC leadership, and facilitates internal and external communications related to change management, instructional continuity, and other emergent communication needs. Salary & Compensation *UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
