Primary Responsibilities of the Transportation Driver:

To provide safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services for students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other authorized members of the campus community.

Anderson Center Modular

Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Requires appropriate licenses or certifications to operate assigned types of vehicles or equipment.

US Driver's License
Commercial Driver's License

Operates campus transportation vehicles and related equipment safely and efficiently, including conducting pre-trip inspections, following established operating procedures, monitoring vehicle performance, and reporting maintenance or safety concerns.

Provides courteous, professional, and responsive customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and other passengers by assisting with transportation needs, answering questions, providing route information, and addressing concerns in a respectful manner.

Communicates clearly and professionally with passengers, dispatchers, supervisors, and campus personnel to provide accurate information, coordinate transportation services, and promptly report safety concerns, delays, incidents, or vehicle issues.

Demonstrates strong attention to detail by carefully following assigned routes and schedules, conducting thorough vehicle inspections, monitoring passenger safety, and accurately completing required transportation records and reports.
