Overview
The VP of PMO/IMO & CMO is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and execution of the global Project Management Office (PMO), Integration Management Office (IMO), and Change Management Office (CMO). This role serves as the enterprise leader responsible for ensuring strategic initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, operational transformations and organizational changes are executed effectively and successfully adopted across the organization. The Vice President will build and lead a team of project management and change management professionals, establishing standardized methodologies, governance frameworks, portfolio management disciplines, project controls and change management practices that enable AIT to scale and execute strategy consistently across all regions, verticals and functions. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer and partnering closely with the Chief HR Officer and executive leadership team, this role will champion enterprise transformation by driving project excellence, accelerating integration outcomes, improving organizational adoption of change and ensuring realization of strategic business value. This role requires a deep understanding of the logistics industry, strong operational acumen, and excellent stakeholder management skills. The incumbent must be able to effectively work cross-functionally, have strong influence and problem-solving skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the business and within the global AIT community.
Responsibilities
PMO & Project Leadership
* Establish and lead AIT's global Project Management Office as a strategic enterprise function responsible for project delivery excellence.
* Build and develop a team of highly skilled project management professionals capable of leading complex cross-functional and global initiatives.
* Define and institutionalize enterprise project management standards, methodologies, governance frameworks and project management tools.
* Oversee project portfolio management, including prioritization, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
* Provide project management expertise, coaching and consulting support to business leaders and functional teams.
* Lead enterprise prioritization processes to maximize ROI and strategic impact.
- M&A Integration
* Serve as the primary facilitator of post-merger integration (PMI) efforts. This includes identifying and leading critical workstreams, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of synergy targets. Accountable for the full lifecycle of integration-from due diligence handoff to value realization. * Develop repeatable integration playbooks, methodologies, and post-integration review processes to continuously improve acquisition outcomes. * Ensure integration planning incorporates both operational execution and organizational change management to maximize teammate engagement, retention and adoption. * Lead the program management and implementation of critical internal initiatives across multiple functions to ensure timely delivery within anticipated budgets. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, IT, Operations) to execute roadmaps. Matrix-lead cross-functional teams through all phases of integration including but not limited to workstream and project management. * Responsible for the management and implementation of new AIT offices and organic growth initiatives in line with corporate strategy. - Enterprise Change Management
* Lead AIT's Change Management Office responsible for enterprise-wide change enablement and adoption. In partnership with CHRO, develop and implement a comprehensive change management framework that supports strategic business initiatives and organizational transformation. * Create standardized change management methodologies, tools, templates, governance and training programs for leaders and teams. * Ensure change management principles are embedded into all significant business transformations, technology implementations, acquisitions, organizational restructures, and strategic initiatives. * Monitor organizational adoption, utilization, and long-term sustainability of implemented changes to ensure realization of intended business benefits. - Stakeholder Engagement & Governance
* Executive & Board-Level Reporting: regularly engage with the Chief Strategy Officer, executive leadership, and board members to report on project status, integration progress, and strategic initiatives. * Cross-Functional Collaboration: work closely with Shared Services functions, and Operations to ensure alignment and accountability across all initiatives. The VP must be a trusted advisor and servant leader capable of influencing without authority. - Leadership & Capability Building
* Recruit, develop and retain a high-performing team of PMs and change management professionals. * Create a culture of accountability, execution excellence, continuous improvement and enterprise collaboration. * Establish career development pathways and professional certification programs for PMs and CMs. * Drive succession planning and capability building efforts with the team. - Performs other duties as assigned

- The wage range for this position is $216,000.00-$324,000.00 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Qualifications
Education * Bachelor's Degree degree in business, operations, supply chain, finance or a related field (required) * Master's Degree (preferred)
Experience * 15+ years or more years leading enterprise transformation, project management, program management or organizational change initiatives () * 8+ years or more years logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, warehousing or supply chain operations experience () * 8+ years or more years managing and leading teams ()
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Demonstrated experience building and scaling enterprise PMO organizations and governance structures. * Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration to drive strategic initiatives and business transformation in a global and/or matrixed organization. * Proven success developing organizational change management capabilities. * Executive influence presenting concise recommendations, facilitating difficult decisions, challenging leaders constructively and creating alignment across the business. * Business and financial acumen to build business cases, evaluate ROI, manage budgets and connect projects to strategic and operational outcomes. * Process mapping, root-cause analysis, continuous improvement and Lean principles.
Licenses and Certifications * Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) (required) * Prosci Certified Change Practitioner or CCMP (preferred) * Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt (preferred)
