About the Role

We are seeking a Lead, Bakery Production to join our team at our Chaska, MN bakery. As a Lead, Bakery Production, you will be accountable for coordinating daily production operations, supporting production teams, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient production flow while upholding food safety, GMP, and operational excellence standards.

Shift & Schedule




  • Shift: 2nd Shift
  • Hours: 2:45 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Weekend Availability: Required



Compensation



  • Hourly Rate: $23.75 - $24.80



Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)




  • Coordinate daily production activities to achieve scheduled production targets.
  • Lead production teams in the safe and efficient execution of manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor product quality and processing performance to maintain consistency and compliance standards.
  • Promote adherence to food safety, GMP, and workplace safety requirements.
  • Identify and escalate equipment performance issues to minimize downtime.
  • Complete and maintain accurate production, quality, and operational records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and waste reduction.



Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)




  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of food manufacturing, production, or related industry experience.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety standards.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and in varying production environments as needed.



Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)



  • Previous lead, trainer, or team leadership experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment.
  • Experience operating production process control systems and manufacturing equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using manufacturing reporting systems to monitor production, quality, and downtime metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and effectively communicate with production teams.
