Position Title: Welder / Fabricator

Wage: $24.00 - $35.00/hour

Shift: 2nd

Hours: 4:00pm - 2:30am

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Neenah, WI. This role is responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. Ideal candidates will have experience with TIG welding, fabrication, blueprint reading, weld symbols, quality inspection, measuring tools, and job shop manufacturing environments.

Welder / Fabricator Responsibilities:

- Perform TIG welding on metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications

- Fabricate and assemble parts using blueprints, work orders, and work instructions

- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings

- Set up and operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently

- Conduct visual weld inspections and verify weld quality

- Perform and document quality checks in accordance with company procedures

- Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, tape measures, combination squares, protractors, and other inspection tools

- Maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards

- Complete all required production and quality documentation

- Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues as needed

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area using 5S principles

- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality requirements

Requirements for Welder / Fabricator:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Previous TIG welding experience, welding certification, or technical school training

- Ability to pass a welding test and demonstrate welding proficiency

- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions

- Strong understanding of welding techniques, weld theory, and metal fabrication processes

- Ability to accurately read and use measuring devices, including calipers, tape measures, and precision inspection tools

- Experience using hand tools, power tools, grinders, and fabrication equipment

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, welding, or job shop environment preferred

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, kneel, and lift throughout a 10-hour shift

- Frequently use hands, arms, and tools to perform welding and fabrication work

- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs

- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment with exposure to welding equipment, machinery, noise, and shop conditions
