Paper Machinery Corporation (PMC) is a global leader in the design and manufacture of high-performance forming machinery for paper cups, containers, lids, and other packaging applications. Customers worldwide use our equipment, with more than 2,500 installations in over 40 countries.

PMC is headquartered in Milwaukee. We are a growing, innovative manufacturing company that combines engineering expertise, advanced technology, and a strong commitment to customer service. Behm Consulting, LLC is proud to partner with Paper Machinery Corporation in the search for talented professionals who are ready to grow with an innovative and respected global manufacturer.

The Opportunity
PMC is looking for an Inside Sales Engineer to join our sales team and help grow our business both with existing customers and through new customer development.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, solving customer problems, and selling a technical product.

You do not need to be an engineer to be successful in this role. We are looking for a strong salesperson with the curiosity and ability to learn PMC's equipment and understand how our solutions can benefit customers.

You will work closely with customers as well as PMC's engineering, manufacturing, service, and other internal teams to develop solutions and manage projects from the initial sales opportunity through installation and follow-up.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, research, and outbound sales.
  • Manage the sales process from initial contact through quotation, order, installation, and follow-up.
  • Learn PMC's machinery and become a knowledgeable resource for customers.
  • Work with engineering and other internal teams to develop solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations and proposals.
  • Coordinate customer visits, machine demonstrations, Factory Acceptance Tests, and Site Acceptance Tests.
  • Identify opportunities for additional equipment, upgrades, and services within existing accounts.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, customer information, and activity in CRM.
  • Build long-term customer relationships rather than simply making one-time sales.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate is a relationship-focused individual who enjoys supporting new business and supporting existing customers.
We're looking for:
  • 3+ years of sales, account management, business development, or related experience.
  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A consultative or solution-selling approach.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Comfort working with technical products or equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to learn mechanical and electrical concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent sales experience will be considered.

Experience That Could Make You Successful
You may be a great fit if you have experience in:
  • Industrial or technical sales
  • Manufacturing
  • Capital equipment
  • Automation
  • Machinery
  • Industrial distribution
  • Equipment or tool sales
  • B2B account management
  • Solution-based or consultative sales

Why Join PMC?
  • A company with a strong culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Opportunity to build and grow your own customer relationships.
  • Work with experienced engineering, manufacturing, and service professionals.
  • Combination of new business development and existing account management.
  • Competitive salary and benefits.
  • Opportunity for long-term career growth.

If you're a Sales Engineer/Account Manager who enjoys learning, building relationships, and solving customer problems, we'd like to talk with you.
