Salary $105,000-$130,000 + Commission

RK Water is seeking a driven Account Executive to lead sales growth and develop new installation opportunities across a diverse range of commercial, industrial, municipal, healthcare, energy, and institutional markets. In this position, you will connect RK Water's technical and field-execution capabilities with customers facing complex water treatment and installation challenges.

A primary focus of this role will be developing relationships with general contractors, engineers, equipment providers, and facility operators. You will identify and pursue opportunities involving water and wastewater treatment systems, cooling infrastructure, mechanical piping & equipment installation, process piping, chemical treatment programs, and other specialized installation scopes.

We are looking for a hunter who thrives on opening doors, identifying new opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and converting technical and construction challenges into long-term customer relationships. This role combines technical problem-solving, strategic business development, estimating coordination, and relationship-driven selling. The successful candidate will help expand RK Water's pipeline of water treatment and field-installation projects that leverage our growing in-house engineering, project-management, and execution capabilities.

What You'll Lead

  • Identify prospective new customers in assigned/target market areas.
  • Source, pursue, and sell Water Treatment related installation and fabrication projects, service agreements, equipment, treatment programs, and associated chemicals.
  • Utilize Customer Resource Management (CRM) system to manage sales funnel and maintain records of sales-related opportunities, contacts, and follow-ups daily.
  • Develop and execute account specific acquisition plans, specifically for larger and national accounts.
  • Secure orders from potential customers by means of on-site visits, water chemistry testing and reporting, telephone contacts, and written communication.
  • Prepare proposals and/or contracts and present/review with all buying influences negotiating scope of agreement/project.
  • Review all outgoing proposals with Sales Manager.
  • Provide knowledge of water chemistry requirements and consultation to develop solutions for customer problems.
  • Provide account business reports and annual forecasts referencing market information and competitive analysis.
  • Ensure customers renew service agreements prior to the expiration date of the contract. Work with service management team on pricing reviews and potential scope modifications.
  • Conduct post-sale follow-up with customers to ensure treatment programs have been accomplished and customers are satisfied. Provide feedback to Water's leadership.
  • Maintain relationship with Steel, Mechanical, Mission Critical and other RK Business Units to ensure familiarity with Water's capability and breadth of solutions offered.
  • Liaison with product representatives and local suppliers to stay abreast of product lines, promotions, new technology, and changes.
  • May include other responsibilities assigned by company leadership.

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years, expert in field extensive relevant experience
  • College/university graduate or equivalent combination of skills and experience generally required
  • Good working knowledge of energy and water usage rebates, and ability to liaison between municipalities and customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex mechanical and water chemistry information.
  • Able to solve complex problems in a data-driven manner.
  • Achievement oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
  • Valid driver's license. Ability to safely move around customer facilities - including roof tops, ladders, etc., to access installed equipment.
