Manager, Material Controls
Play an integral role in ensuring the successful delivery of major capital projects by leading the planning, management, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment required for construction execution. As a Manager, Material Controls, you will provide leadership for all material management activities, ensuring materials are properly identified, quantified, procured, received, stored, tracked, and issued to support project schedules and construction productivity. This role operates within an active industrial construction environment. You will work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Construction, Project Controls, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, and Project Management teams to ensure materials are available when and where they are needed. Your ability to proactively manage material flow and inventory directly impacts schedule performance, labor productivity, cost control, and overall project success. Purpose of the role The Manager, Material Controls is responsible for leading and coordinating all material management activities associated with major construction projects. You will oversee the processes required to define material requirements, establish inventory controls, monitor material status, and manage the receipt, storage, preservation, tracking, and distribution of materials and equipment. Working closely with project leadership and supply chain organizations, you will ensure material control strategies support project schedules, construction priorities, and customer requirements. Through effective planning, team leadership, and operational oversight, you will help minimize material shortages, reduce excess inventory, improve material visibility, and support efficient construction execution.
