Position Description: This community, located in Boston's Jamaica Plain neighborhood, consists of 202 residential apartments, including 62 apartments for family and 140 apartments for individuals who have experienced homelessness. As a joint venture between The Community Builders and the Pine Street Inn, the community offers a unique opportunity to advance the meaningful missions of both organizations while making lasting impact in the lives of residents. The Community Manager will work collaboratively with internal teams, residents, and community partners to promote high-quality resident experience and support positive outcomes across the community. You will contribute to creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment while strengthening the overall well-being and stability of residents. Under the direction of the Regional Director of Property Management, the Community Manager is responsible for all phases of property operations and on-site team performance. They manage the property operating budget, with the primary goals of increasing cash flow, balancing the budget, maintaining the physical asset and providing a quality living environment, with superior customer service for residents. This role will ensure adherence to TCB's mission, policies, and procedures; and that the site is in compliance with regulatory requirements. Essential Functions:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Physical Demands & Work Environment: Ability to move around the building or site; able to move up to 50 pounds; able to work in outdoor conditions. Some travel to local sites may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education & Experience: Experience working in housing communities serving residents with histories of homelessness, substance use disorders, and trauma is preferred. BA/BS and 5 + years in progressive career path in Residential Property Management, Hotel, Hospitality or Retail Management required, 2 of which should be in a supervisory or management role. Industry designations such as COS, LIHTC, ARM, CPMC, etc. preferred. Benefits
