Cafe Assistant (Full-time, No Nights or Weekends) Apply Online Assist the Cafe Lead and Cafe Manager in preparing, serving and cleanup of breakfast, lunch, and catering events to Tyler staff. The cafe provides a community space for employees and is an important selling point for prospective employees. The Cafe Assistant takes direction from the manager and lead in completing tasks. Responsible for working efficiently with minimal waste. Assist with ensuring the cleanliness and appearance of cafe. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation and stocking as directed by cafe manager or lead Prepare breakfast, lunch, and catering items according to the day's plan Ensure that the cafe is set up in the morning and broken down correctly at the end of each day and that the space is clean, stocked, organized, and inviting at the end of each day Assist with the purchase of food and supplies using the order book Assist on the food line as needed Assist with other office-related activities such as filling in at the reception desk Provide excellent customer service while preparing orders Prepare a large volume of food in short time frame Provide excellent customer service while preparing orders Maintain the cafe in keeping with health and safety guidelines Lift 50 pounds Must be able to stand/walk for 6-8 hours per shift Other duties as assigned Location Falmouth, Maine Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Customer service experience required Experience in a food service setting desired Prepare a large volume of food in a short time frame Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment State-Specific Salary Range Disclosure Requirements Salary will generally fall between $26,892 - $43,877 before adjustment for geographic differences.
