In addition to its audio entertainment businesses, SiriusXM offers connected vehicle services to automakers.

How you'll make an impact:

As Senior Manager, Platform Engineering & Delivery, you will be a hands-on technical leader responsible for advancing how software is built, tested, secured, packaged, and delivered across SiriusXM. You will lead the Delivery team while remaining actively engaged in architecture, engineering design, prototyping, technical reviews, and solving complex delivery challenges alongside the engineers you lead.

You will also be advancing Agentic Delivery: evolving our software delivery platform so AI agents can perform increasingly complex parts of the software development lifecycle-including coding, testing, validation, remediation, and delivery-based on human direction and within well-defined engineering, security, and operational guardrails. You will help define the architecture, platform capabilities, standards, and controls required to make agent-driven software delivery safe, reliable, observable, and scalable across the enterprise.

You will also own and evolve the foundational delivery capabilities that engineering teams and agents depend on, including CI/CD, artifact management, code quality, software supply chain security, and security scanning in CI pipelines. Your goal will be to create a delivery platform that makes the secure and reliable path the easiest path, whether the work is being performed by a human engineer, an AI agent, or a combination of both.

This is a player-coach role. You will provide people leadership and strategic direction, but you will also be expected to stay close to the technology, evaluate and improve technical designs, contribute to technical solutions, and directly help move important initiatives forward.

What you'll do:

  • Lead the evolution toward Agentic Delivery: Define and execute the technical strategy for enabling AI agents to safely perform software delivery work based on human intent. Build the platform capabilities, APIs, workflows, context, permissions, feedback loops, and guardrails needed for agents to write code, run tests, remediate issues, validate changes, and progress software through delivery workflows.

  • Remain hands-on technically: Work directly with engineers on architecture, system design, prototypes, technical investigations, and complex implementation challenges. Review code and designs where appropriate, validate technical approaches, and help establish reference implementations for new delivery capabilities.

  • Own the software delivery architecture: Set technical direction across CI/CD, artifact management, code quality, software supply chain controls, and security scanning in CI pipelines. Ensure these capabilities work together as a coherent delivery platform rather than as disconnected tools.

  • Design for both human and agent consumers: Evolve delivery systems so workflows can be used consistently through developer interfaces, APIs, automation, and AI agents. Ensure delivery capabilities expose the context, controls, telemetry, and machine-readable interfaces required for increasingly autonomous engineering workflows.

  • Create secure, reusable paved paths: Develop and drive adoption of standardized delivery patterns that reduce one-off implementations, improve developer productivity, and embed security, compliance, reliability, and observability into the default workflow.

  • Advance CI/CD and release engineering: Improve development feedback loops, pipeline performance, release reliability, and consistency across engineering teams. Identify bottlenecks and use automation, platform engineering, and AI where appropriate to remove unnecessary manual work.

  • Strengthen software supply chain security: Partner with Information Security to integrate code scanning, dependency controls, artifact integrity, vulnerability management, provenance, policy enforcement, and other secure-by-default controls directly into CI pipelines and delivery workflows.

  • Standardize artifacts: Establish scalable patterns for how packages and build outputs are created, secured, stored, promoted, traced, and consumed across environments.

  • Use engineering data to drive improvement: Establish metrics around pipeline performance, adoption, failure rates, developer wait time, release reliability, agent effectiveness, remediation outcomes, and other delivery signals. Use those metrics to prioritize platform improvements and measure their impact.

  • Lead and develop the Delivery team: Provide clear technical and organizational direction, coach engineers and technical leads, build leadership capability, manage performance, and create an environment where engineers can take meaningful ownership of complex platform problems.

  • Drive cross-functional technical alignment: Work closely with Developer Experience, Cloud, Observability, Information Security, application engineering, and other stakeholders to solve cross-cutting delivery problems and establish common engineering standards.

  • Own roadmap and investment decisions: Translate engineering and business needs into a prioritized roadmap, balancing strategic platform investment, operational reliability, technical debt, developer productivity, security, and cost.

  • Evaluate emerging technologies pragmatically: Continuously assess new approaches in AI-assisted development, agentic engineering, CI/CD, software supply chain security, and developer tooling. Prototype where appropriate and turn successful experiments into production-grade platform capabilities.

What you'll need:

  • Typically 7 or more years of software engineering or platform engineering experience, including 3 or more years leading engineering teams or technical organizations.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Strong hands-on technical background. You should be comfortable going deep on architecture, reviewing technical designs, reading and reviewing code, building prototypes, debugging complex systems, and working directly with engineers to solve difficult platform problems.

  • Experience designing modern software delivery systems, with strong knowledge of one or more of the following: CI/CD platforms, GitHub Actions or similar workflow systems, artifact repositories, developer tooling, code quality platforms, software supply chain security, or security scanning in CI pipelines.

  • Strong software engineering skills. Experience designing and building production software, automation, APIs, platform services, or developer tooling in one or more modern programming languages.

  • Experience with AI-assisted or agentic software development. Understanding of how coding agents, LLM-based engineering tools, tool-calling agents, or similar systems can participate in the software development lifecycle. Experience building or integrating agentic workflows is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to reason about the architecture of Agentic Delivery systems, including context and tool access, permissions, human approval points, policy enforcement, isolation, auditability, observability, feedback loops, and safe execution of autonomous actions.

  • Deep understanding of CI/CD and software delivery architecture, including build and test automation, security scanning in CI pipelines, release workflows, artifact promotion, environment management, deployment patterns, and the operational concerns associated with running these systems at enterprise scale.

  • Strong understanding of software supply chain security, including secure build practices, dependency and vulnerability management, artifact integrity, provenance, policy enforcement, and shifting security controls earlier in the development lifecycle through CI pipelines.

  • Strong cloud and platform engineering fundamentals, preferably with experience operating large-scale systems on AWS and working with infrastructure-as-code and distributed systems.

  • Technical leadership and judgment. Ability to make architecture decisions, evaluate technical designs and trade-offs, identify where standardization creates leverage, balance short- and long-term considerations, and guide engineers through ambiguous technical problems.

  • People leadership. Proven ability to coach and develop engineers and technical leads, manage performance, build healthy teams, delegate effectively, and develop future technical and organizational leaders.

  • Cross-functional influence. Ability to work effectively with engineering, infrastructure, security, product, and senior leadership; communicate complex technical topics clearly; and drive adoption of standards across teams you do not directly manage.

  • Operational and product mindset. Ability to treat internal platform capabilities as products, measure adoption and outcomes, understand developer needs, prioritize based on impact, and continuously improve the experience of engineers using the platform.

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
