Jazz Pharmaceuticals is a global biopharma company whose purpose is to innovate to Reporting to the VP, Taxation & Treasury, the Senior Director will have day to day responsibility for the oversight and execution of all areas of US corporate income taxes including, tax accounting and ASC 740 reporting, federal and state tax compliance, audit defense, tax planning, M&A support and US international tax matters. They will also work directly with other internal functions and external advisors on a variety of projects including M&A transaction and integration work, tax credit planning, and other tax structuring opportunities. The role will also include oversight of external tax advisors and support the Company's tax governance, internal control, and SOX compliance framework. While the position is advertised as a Senior Director level role, we welcome applications from candidates with Executive Director level experience, as we are open to considering the creation of a requisition for individuals with additional expertise if Jazz determines that there is sufficient business need Essential Functions
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Extensive US federal, state, and US international tax experience, including ASC 740 tax accounting, compliance, tax planning, and audit support. * Experience managing external advisors and leading cross-functional tax projects, including M&A transactions and business integrations. * Experience in US tax code and state tax provisions. * Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills are essential in order to liaise with team members and colleagues as well as external advisors. * Must be highly self-motivated, dynamic and a multi-tasker with the energy and drive to work on own initiative and manage US tax team Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
