As the Principal Strategy Advisor, you will be part of the team that plays a key leadership role in making MISO's core operations strategy clear, connected, and actionable across Market Operations, System Operations, Transmission Planning, and Resource Planning. You will partner directly with senior leaders to shape multi-year strategy, identify and prioritize the business capabilities MISO will need for the future, and translate enterprise priorities, operational risks, and rapidly evolving industry conditions into actionable plans. This role challenges assumptions, brings forward insights and external perspective, and helps leaders navigate tradeoffs, dependencies, and complex strategic decisions. Success in this role requires curiosity, strong relationships, sound judgment, and the ability to build alignment and influence across the organization without relying on formal authority. In one year as our Principal Strategy Advisor, you will know you were successful if you have become a trusted strategic partner to leaders across your assigned operations or planning area and are helping them make clearer, more deliberate decisions about priorities, capability needs, sequencing, risks, and tradeoffs. The strategies and plans you help shape will be clearer, more connected to business outcomes and enterprise priorities, and better aligned across Operations, Planning, and enabling teams. You will also be bringing forward new perspectives, anticipating emerging industry challenges, and helping move complex or ambiguous issues toward decisions and action. The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $152,000.00 - $177,000.00 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience. Position is also eligible for an annual bonus if individual performance and company objectives are met.
