We are seeking an experienced UX / Technical Content Writer to join our client's Marketplace Learn team. In this role, you will synthesize complex product information, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and technical updates into clear, highly readable, and actionable guides for our seller community.

The ideal candidate is an efficient communicator who excels at taking backend technical details and distilling them into concise, practical documentation that helps everyday business owners manage and grow their stores. This role focuses purely on clear, direct documentation-no marketing copy or flowery promotional language required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide & FAQ Development: Write, edit, and maintain clear, long-form instructional guides and FAQ content designed to clarify business processes and product updates for sellers.
  • Release Notes: Summarize product updates and feature releases into clear, digestible notes for email distribution and web documentation.
  • Content Synthesis: Partner with internal stakeholders to analyze complex technical jargon, SOPs, and product specifications, translating them into layperson terms.
  • Workflow Management: Utilize Airtable daily to manage documentation workflows, track content updates, and navigate fast-paced changes in business requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify knowledge gaps and proactively streamline existing documentation to keep our content ecosystem accurate and up to date.

What We're Looking For

  • The UX / Technical Writer Mindset: You write with the end-user in mind, focusing strictly on clear, concise, and helpful guidance rather than marketing or promotional copy.
  • Adaptable & Fast-Paced: You thrive in an evolving environment, digest fast updates quickly, and can hit the ground running with minimal hand-holding.
  • Process-Driven: You love clean systems and are proficient in modern content and project management platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in a technical writing, UX writing, or instructional content role within tech, eCommerce, or SaaS industries.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience using Airtable for content tracking or project management.
  • Portfolio: A writing portfolio featuring relevant samples of written technical guides, help articles, FAQs, or release notes (visual design samples are not required).
  • Communication: Exceptional writing, editing, and grammar skills, with a proven ability to explain complex processes simply.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Airtable Expertise: Hands-on experience transitioning workflows or managing active content databases in Airtable.
  • E-Commerce / Marketplace Context: Familiarity writing specifically for seller or B2B platforms.
  • Tone Precision: Ability to write in a direct, neutral, and instructional tone without relying on persuasive marketing language.
  • Self-Starter: Strong ability to self-manage, ask the right questions, and quickly learn internal tools and systems.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $49.00/hr to $54.00/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
