Engineer I - Mechanical
Overview As a Main Propulsion Machinery Engineer, you will be responsible for project management and oversight of design, development, procurement, ship integration, test and repair and fleet support activities for components associated with fast-attack submarine classes. Specific responsibilities will include component analysis (impacts to safety, cost, schedule, performance, operations, and maintenance), arrangement integration, and component development (design evolutions to meet new and/or evolving specifications). Frequent interface will be required with multiple Electric Boat engineering and support disciplines, vendors, Newport News Shipbuilding, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Shipyard Personnel (Trades) and Ship's Force (active-duty Navy).
