This position is responsible for evaluation and implementation of all TRIO Upward Bound (UB) academic services including academic year tutoring and classroom instruction (4 classes during the academic year) and all instruction during the summer program (10-14 total classes delivered daily). This position oversees high school student academic progress and develops holistic academic intervention strategies and services to positively influence the programs' ability to meet federal program objectives and prepare students for academic rigors of postsecondary school. This position is primarily on campus four days a week, with one day remote. Please note, this position is not eligible for H-1B or Green Card sponsorship. This position does not offer a STEM OPT training program. Job Responsibilities:

TRIO programs at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities (UMN-TC) are federally funded, supported by the U.S. Department of Education, and guide students from building a strong foundation in high school with Upward Bound (UB), to excelling in college with Student Support Services, or achieving graduate school degrees with Ronald E. McNair. For over 60 years, UMN TRIO has expanded access to opportunities, helping students become leaders in education, science, health, technology, public service, and more. TRIO UB is a federally funded, U.S. Department of Education equal educational opportunity program designed to generate within our students (and parents), the skills and motivation necessary to both graduate high school and enter and graduate successfully complete a postsecondary degree.
