Salary range:
A reasonable estimate for this position is based on an annual full-time salary of $70,977. Application Window Open date: July 30, 2026 Next review date: Saturday, Aug 29, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Sunday, Feb 28, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The Department of Criminology, Law, and Society in the School of Social Ecology anticipates periodic openings for Unit 18 Faculty Lecturers during one or more quarters in the 2026-27 academic year. These appointments will be made as the need arises to cover specific topics in the area of Criminology, Law, Psychology and Society. In addition to teaching responsibilities, general duties include preparing course materials (syllabus, assignments, etc.), maintaining a course website, holding office hours, assigning grades, and advising students For a list of courses, see: Department of Criminology, Law and Society, University of California Irvine The salary is commensurate with experience, at varying percentages of time depending on the course(s) assigned. Required: masters-level degree (Ph.D. strongly preferred) in a field appropriate to the course (e.g., anthropology, law and society, criminology, political science, psychology, sociology, etc.) and/or J.D., and teaching experience at the college level. Appointments vary based on need and availability.
