The Surgery Scheduler is responsible and accountable for key activities associated with the Operating Room Computerized Scheduling System (Epic Op-Time). Schedules all procedures for the operating rooms at East Campus, and other Procedural Suites as assigned. Also responsible for scheduling procedures in outlying areas, as assigned. Reviews Operating Room schedule at East Campus in order to maximize OR utilization. Ensures appropriate selection of Provider Preference Cards, and works with clinical coordinators or designee to optimize card selection. Ensures accurate scheduling information to provide appropriate scheduling of cases and resources. Participates in process improvement initiatives by working with Epic Optime analyst, business analyst, nursing, and surgeons to optimize the scheduling process and accuracy. Updates block schedule when trained to do so. Accurately uses Onbase for faxing system and uploads to patient charts. Participates in daily OR huddles, prints afternoon huddle schedules and edits as needed. Enters confirmation of reps which includes date and time of procedure. Emails schedule at end of day to appropriate team members. Performs other related functions as required and performs other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $60,260 - $74,917 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $28.86 - $35.88 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
