The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily operations of the production floor; ensuring established safety, quality and production requirements are met. Thius role will monitor daily productivity and work quality output, define resource needs and staffing parameters to meet business goals and ensures the accuracy and integrity of inventory movement.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of the production floor to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and safety standards.

  • Inspect product to verify product standards and specifications are met

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to reduce material and labor costs

  • Performs daily safety GEMBA

  • Accountable for all aspects of ISO 9001/IATF 16949 compliance

Leadership:

  • Provide leadership to 30+ production team, including training, auditing, evaluations, performance discussions, disciplinary actions, career development, employee engagement and morale.
  • Execute weekly production schedule continuously improving productivity and efficiency by managing KPIs

  • Ensure job-related accidents or injuries are reported and documented timely and take corrective action in an expedient manner

Position Must Haves:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in related field preferred

  • 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years' supervisory experience

  • Experience with lean continuous improvement tools and methodology

  • Proficient at Problem Solving Techniques (5-why, 8D, A3)

Nice to Haves:

  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure; multi-task; meet tight deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiar with AS400, Shop Floor Plus or other production systems
