ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Setup and operate assigned CNC Bridge Mill.
  • Perform all functions of a "CNC Trainee" listed on the Skill Chart.
  • Programming CNC designs into cut instructions
  • Load parts for processing.
  • Perform jig layout changeovers.
  • Set tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculate requirements, including basic math.
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, fixtures, and bore gauges, to check work and perform detailed inspection of parts produced to meet tolerance requirements.
  • Write and maintain inspection and programming logs and manuals.
  • Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements.
  • Provide constant feedback and input for process improvement within the department.
  • Utilize and abide by ISO requirements and safety procedures.
  • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions.
  • Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management
  • Employees must speak only English during an emergency and while performing job duties where there is potential for an emergency. The rule does not apply to casual conversations between employees when they are not performing a job duty.


NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:



  • Support the MFG Engineering department to process and implement machining production flow processes.
  • Capable and willing to perform all essential functions of a "CNC Trainee."


Non-Management Employees include:



  • Demonstrate commitment to an injury-free environment by actively participating in company safety programs.
  • Comply with all aspects of the corporate environmental, health and safety program.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:



  • Machining Supervisor
  • Machining Manager


SUBORDINATE STAFF:



  • None


PAY RANGE:



  • $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (not including a $2.00 shift premium)
  • Pay frequency is weekly.


SHIFT:

Monday to Thursday 3:00 PM to 1:45 AM

WORKING CONDITIONS:

DAILY LIFTING: Up to 50 pounds unassisted

WORK ENVIROMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, vapors, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud but hearing protection is provided.
