What to Expect

Tesla is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Customer Support analytics team. You will lead the transformation of complex global data into strategic insights that drive operational efficiency and elevate customer experience. This role plays a critical part in shaping key initiatives across global customer support operations.

You will partner with project managers, analysts, engineers, and senior business leaders to design scalable dashboards, automate reporting, and improve data accessibility across systems. The ideal candidate is a seasoned analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings deep technical expertise, and is passionate about leveraging data to drive innovation at scale.

This is a high-impact opportunity to lead advanced BI and automation efforts, work with enterprise-scale datasets, and play a meaningful role in optimizing Tesla's global support organization.


What You'll Do
  • Build, maintain, and own dashboards and data visualizations in Tableau, ensuring they meet the needs of senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop, optimize, and govern complex queries using SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, and Vertica
  • Use Python for advanced data processing, automation, and predictive analytics. Analyze trends and KPIs such as CSAT, average handle time, and recontact rate, providing strategic recommendations based on findings
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and senior leadership to translate high-level business questions into scalable data solutions
  • Lead the automation of recurring reporting workflows to drive scalability and operational efficiency
  • Design and deploy AI-powered analytics solutions, including building and integrating large language model (LLM) workflows with a focus on prompt engineering and token efficiency
  • Communicate and present insights to senior leadership and executive stakeholders through clear, compelling visual storytelling and data narratives. Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor to junior analysts on the team. Proactively identify opportunities for data-driven improvements across the support organization

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field
  • Expert-level SQL proficiency across multiple databases (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Vertica).Hands-on experience building AI-powered analytics solutions using large language models (LLMs), including prompt engineering, token optimization, and cost-efficient API usage at scale
  • Strong proficiency in Python for analytics, automation, and data pipeline development. Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools and the ability to integrate them into production analytics workflows
  • Advanced experience with Tableau or other enterprise BI visualization platforms. Deep understanding of key support metrics (CSAT, FCR, AHT) and contact center analytics
  • Proven experience managing and presenting to senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights for non-technical audiences
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and deliver across multiple high-visibility initiatives. Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving ability
