What to Expect
The Tours Coordinator plays a pivotal role in educating stakeholders about Tesla's innovative products, fostering confidence in our engineering, manufacturing, and business excellence, and providing a rare, hands-on glimpse into our technology. By delivering exceptional tours, supporting engagement initiatives that enhance factory culture and drive employee excellence, and facilitating internal communications for greater business effectiveness, this position directly contributes to securing new contracts, optimizing factory operations, and advancing Tesla's mission to accelerate the world's transition to amazing abundance. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Megafactory TX (MFTX), requiring physical presence Monday through Friday.
What You'll Do
- Visitor Experience & Education:Deliver brand-aligned factory tours that educate visitors on Tesla Energy products, mission, and manufacturing through authentic engagement and relationship-building
- Content & Media:Capture and curate photography and content during customer, family, and friends tours to support Megafactory storytelling and team engagement
- Tour Planning & Scheduling:Plan and coordinate tours for diverse groups - customers, VIPs, internal teams, and educators - customizing routes and content with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, BD, Engineering, Operations, and beyond
- Logistics & Guide Leadership:Manage all tour logistics including check-in, AV setup, safety briefings, and accessibility; train and lead tour guides to deliver compelling, on-brand narratives
- Feedback & Metrics:Track satisfaction scores, analyze post-tour feedback, and report program impact to leadership to drive continuous improvement
- Engagement & Culture:Support planning and execution of MFCA factory events, recognition programs, and culture initiatives aligned to company policies and safety standards
- Internal Communications & Administration:Manage factory-wide communications, digital platforms, and leadership events (All Hands, QBRs) while overseeing budgeting, vendor coordination, and operational reporting to the Sr. Program Manager
What You'll Bring
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortability with speaking to and managing large groups with many questions
- Ability and ease to interface with Tesla leadership and executives, which may include speaking to high-value customers and visitors
- Significant work experience in customer service, sales, and the energy sector with energy storage preferred
- Comfortable driving a tram, golf cart,or passenger van in or around a factory environment while simultaneously articulating unique production processes
- Ability to work comfortably in a dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environment
