Job Summary:

As a full-time Financial Analyst Team Lead, you will provide hands-on financial analysis and functional leadership for TechSource's Financial Analyst/Project Controls organization. In this working lead role, you will support Program Management Offices (PMOs) and Program Managers while driving standardization, automation, and consistency across project financial oversight, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and related project controls processes. You will partner with the Controller, PMO leadership, financial analysts, and IT/business intelligence resources to develop scalable tools, templates, dashboards, processes, and reporting standards that improve financial visibility and support effective project management decision making. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Albuquerque office.

Responsibilities:


  • Provide hands-on financial program support to Program Managers including funding, performance, and financial activity tracking for active projects.
  • Serve as a working lead for the Financial Analyst/Project Controls organization, helping establish common priorities, operating rhythms, standards, and expectations across analysts supporting multiple PMOs.
  • Lead the financial analyst team to develop, maintain, and continuously improve standardized project financial reporting templates, PMO review packages, budget-to-actual reporting, forecasting models, variance analysis, funding/burn rate analysis, and related project controls tools.
  • Drive increased automation of monthly summary reports, dashboards, and recurring project financial analyses by utilizing the ERP system, automated reporting functionality, business intelligence tools, and available IT resources.
  • Review TechSource and subcontractor monthly financial activities, including invoice review to ensure billing accuracy, contract funding, forecasting, burn rate analysis, and percent funding spent notifications, and utilize this information to support monthly financial program reporting requirements.
  • Present findings and analysis to Program Management, PMO leadership, the Controller, and TechSource Leadership to ensure up-to-date information is available to assist in project management decision making.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and support annual financial forecasts, quarterly forecasts, and monthly variance analysis of actuals to forecast across supported programs and PMOs.
  • Establish and maintain Financial Analyst/Project Controls playbooks, procedures, training materials, and quality review practices to improve consistency, accuracy, backup coverage, and scalability across the function.
  • Partner with PMO leadership and Program Managers to understand business needs while ensuring project financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting are performed using consistent company-wide standards.
  • Identify inefficiencies, manual processes, inconsistent practices, and reporting gaps; propose solutions and lead process improvement initiatives in coordination with the Controller organization and IT resources.
  • Support proposal efforts with forecasted pricing calculations in response to Request for Quotes (RFQs) and Request for Proposals (RFPs), including pricing for new, rebids, or revised contracts upon request and direction from Program Managers, PMO leadership, and Corporate Business Development.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or other related field.
  • 8 or more years of progressive experience in financial analysis, project controls, program finance, or a related field.
  • Experience serving as a team lead, working manager, senior analyst, process owner, or functional lead responsible for coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of project financial management, including funding, contract performance, forecasting, burn rate analysis, subcontractor cost tracking, variance analysis, and project cost monitoring.
  • Ability to develop standardized reporting templates, dashboards, processes, and procedures that improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions to improve processes, and execute process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, coordinate, and drive accountability across diverse work groups, including analysts, Program Managers, PMO leadership, accounting, contracts, procurement, and IT resources.
  • Detail-orientation, consistently meeting deadlines, and ability to balance hands-on analytical work with functional leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite to analyze data, create reports, and present information in Excel and PowerPoint formats.
  • Effective utilization of ERP, accounting, reporting, or business intelligence software to support budget creation, project cost monitoring, and automated reporting.
  • US citizenship is required for this full-time position. Eligible to obtain a DOE L or Q Clearance.


Preferred qualifications:


  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Government contracting experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using AI models to automate, build tools, and otherwise drive efficiencies preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems, project controls tools, automated reporting, or business intelligence/dashboard development preferred.
  • Experience supporting proposal pricing, annual forecasting, and financial planning for federal contracts preferred.
