Security Officer - Screening Desk

As a Security Officer Screening Desk in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support access procedures while helping to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, screening activities, and/or emergency response actions appropriate to the location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and/or deliveries entering the location, verify required credentials and/or authorizations, and report discrepancies according to site protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, remaining aware of unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Support access control operations by monitoring entry points, maintaining visitor logs and/or screening records, and communicating clearly with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
