Job Summary The Vice President, Administration is a senior management role responsible for administrative strategy, sharedservices leadership, and operational governance. This role oversees core administrative functions-such as Facilities, Real Estate, Corporate Services, Workplace Services, Travel & Expense, Fleet, Security, Records Management, and other designated shared services-ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable operations that support business performance.Job Description Role Overview Additional Job Details Management - M6Organizational Impact *Leads a function or department within the platform, or leads a strategic function or department within the business unit *Leads the implementation of comprehensive strategies set forth by executive leadership, ensuring alignment with overarching business objectives *Develops and oversees strategic operational plans for the department and/or job family group, focusing on mid to long term outcomes and sustainability (e.g., 3-5 years) *Accountable for organizational resources and plays a critical role in shaping high-level business decisions made by executive leadership *Typically accountable for substantial revenue generation and/or expenditures in strategic organizational areas, with a high degree of autonomy and decision-making authority Communication & Influence *Communicates regularly with parties within and outside of job family group/ business unit, may include external clients or vendors *Influences diverse groups, advocating for the organization's vision and strategic initiatives while communicating complex concepts and practices to executive leadership on matters of critical importance to the organization *Regularly communicates with executive leadership, and is required to negotiate and resolve operational challenges that impact strategic direction *Represents a business unit function, department or job family group on matters of significance with the public Innovation & Complexity *Responsible for driving critical improvements of entire processes, systems, or products to enhance performance of business unit or job family group *Addresses a wide array of complex and ambiguous challenges, involving interpretation of multifaceted issues where information is scarce and difficult to ascertain often impacting areas outside of immediate responsibility *Solutions developed through leveraging extensive expertise, strategic analysis, and innovative thinking, drawing on a deep understanding of industry trends and organizational dynamics Leadership & Talent Management *Oversees multiple critical departments, multiple job families or a critical job family group for a business unit, managing a large, diverse team of senior-level managers who supervise various sub-teams *Typically has hiring, firing, promotion and reward authority within own area, in accordance with Corporate Guidelines *Responsible for developing short- to mid-term plans (1-3 years) on how to optimize the talent required to execute strategies for the job family group or business unit/departments Knowledge & Experience *Requires exceptional business management and leadership knowledge to spearhead complex, cross-functional teams and drive initiatives across the platform, business units, multiple departments and/or job family groups *Exhibits a high level of mastery in a specialized technical domain or possesses extensive expertise across a wide range of interrelated disciplines, enabling strategic decision-making and innovation *Typically requires an advanced degree or equivalent professional certification, along with a minimum of 12-15 years of relevant experience Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action at Nidec Work Shift Schedule No Soliciting Nidec will not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies in response to Nidec job postings.
